Guide

The tenement house belonged to a patrician family, Lubomelscy.

The tenement house belonged to a patrician family, Lubomelscy. It was rebuilt in 1540, which is mentioned in a preserved portal with an inscription containing the name of Jan Lubom, a date and a Zadora mark. Lay paintings have been preserved in the room that used to be a winery. The paintings are from approximately 1580, and they depict Bacchic themes. The characters and inscriptions presented there prove that Lublin was a well-developed literary and cultural centre during the Renaissance.
