The massive, neo-Gothic building, was built in 1875-79. At present the seat of marine institutions.

The building used to be known as the New Town Hall, designed by the Berlin architect Konrad Kruhl once a seat of the town authorities. The windows finials feature Szczecin's crests, while the arcaded, porticoed entrance was ornamented by (now no-existent) allegories of Agriculture, Industry, Shipping and Knowledge. The beautiful neo-Gothic interior decoration can be admired inside the building.
