The first Church in Łęki Górne was built probably already in the fourteenth century. The parish was established around 1373. The present Church was probably built in 1484 and consecrated in 1487.

At that time the village was owned by Zaklika Małogórski. In 1595 there was a small parish school by the Church, it is referred to in the scripts. In 1608-1781 a hospital for the poor also operated in Łęki. It was renewed in 1795 by the owners of Łęki Dolne – Michał and Katarzyna Łętowski. The wooden Church built in the 4th quarter of the fifteenth century was rebuilt in the seventeenth century - the brick vestry was built then. In the second half of the eighteenth century, the Church was extended - the western tower was added. The Church was completely renovated twice. At that time the portal with the Church construction date of 1484 was removed. After World War II the Church was renovated in 1966. At that time, among other things, the new frescos were added. To the south from the Church, within the Church fence a stone pulpit has been maintained, while outside the fence there a wooden building of a former rectory has been preserved.
